Information The only small milling machine that is rigid enough to machine without chatter (within the limits of the tooling.) The belt drive models are essentially a drill press with a moving table - a belt drive head has very little mass (or weight), to absorb cutting tool impacts and will flex and rebound causing chatter. This gear head alone weighs several hundred pounds. Rigid! The dovetail column on this model allows for vertical repositioning without losing either the longitude or cross positions. It also provides extra rigidity for milling at elevated heights.
